The four firms that do not list NinjaTrader are Alpha Futures, DayTraders, E8 Markets and Topstep. DayTraders offers Sierra Chart and MotiveWave among others, E8 Markets runs only Tradovate and TradingView, and Topstep uses its own TopstepX.

Bulenox and Funded Futures Network are the two NinjaTrader firms with no TradingView or Tradovate option, both on Rithmic only, so NinjaTrader or another desktop platform on their list is the way in. The table below shows each firm's feeds and the rest of its platform list.

Which prop firms use NinjaTrader?

16 of the 20 active futures prop firms on our list, which makes it the most widely supported desktop platform we track. Support is firm-wide, so every plan those firms sell can be traded in NinjaTrader, on a Rithmic, Tradovate, CQG or dxFeed feed.

Do I need a NinjaTrader licence for a prop firm account?

It depends on the firm's connection. The firm gives you a login for its data feed and NinjaTrader connects to it; whether you need a paid NinjaTrader licence for the features you want is between you and NinjaTrader. We do not track platform or data fees per firm.

Which data feed will I be on?

The feed column in the table. Rithmic is the most common for NinjaTrader across these firms, Tradovate is second, and Lucid Trading, Take Profit Trader and TradeDay also offer CQG. The firm's checkout or help centre says which feed a given plan runs on.

Which futures prop firms do not offer NinjaTrader?

Four on our list: Alpha Futures, DayTraders, E8 Markets and Topstep. DayTraders carries Sierra Chart and MotiveWave among others, E8 Markets runs only Tradovate and TradingView, and Topstep uses its own TopstepX. Each firm's full platform list is on its page.

Are the trading rules the same on NinjaTrader?

Yes. Drawdown, consistency, contract limits and payout rules are the firm's, not the platform's, and apply on every platform it supports. What can differ is execution, since orders route through the firm's own data feed. Compare those rules by account on the homepage board.

Can I run an automated strategy in NinjaTrader?

That depends on the firm, not on NinjaTrader. Automation permission is a firm-level rule: three firms on our list ban it outright, while most of the rest allow it with conditions written into their own policy. The prop firms that allow algo trading page quotes each firm's rule.

Can I use NinjaTrader and another platform together?

Usually yes, since the firm's data feed can be reached from any platform it supports. Moving between them often takes a support request rather than a setting. Every firm on this page lists other platforms too, and the table shows them beside each firm's feed.
Q8

Why do so many prop firms support NinjaTrader?

Because it connects to the feeds these firms already run, mainly Rithmic and Tradovate, so adding it costs the firm little. It is also the desktop platform many futures traders already own. Bulenox and Funded Futures Network offer it without a TradingView or Tradovate option at all.
