Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how Save On Prop Firms, operated by Calculated Risk LLC ("we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses and shares information when you visit saveonpropfirms.com and its subdomains, sign up for our newsletter, contact us, or enter one of our giveaways.
The short version: we collect what we need to run a prop firm comparison site, we never sell your information for money, you can turn off ad tracking at any time, and you can ask us what we hold about you or have it deleted by emailing contact@saveonpropfirms.com.
What information we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter: your email address and, if you give it, your first name. You join our newsletter list when you sign up on the newsletter page or in the footer, ask for alerts in the account match quiz, or tick the newsletter box on the contact form. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you pick and your message. We email you a short confirmation that we received it.
- Correction form: your email address and the correction you send.
- Giveaways (open to adults 18 and over only): depending on the giveaway, your name, email address, country of residence, birthday, social media handles, Discord username and user ID, and the email address you registered with the prize provider (so they can confirm you are eligible).
- Our account match quiz: your email address, if you ask for alerts when firms run a sale or change their rules.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, and the approximate location (country, region or city) worked out from it.
- Cookie IDs and device information, such as browser and device type.
- How you use the site: pages viewed, links clicked, the page that referred you, and which firm offers and codes you click through to.
- Clicks on our short links (go.saveonpropfirms.com), logged with approximate location, device type and referral details so we can see which links work.
Information from other sources
When you enter a giveaway through ScopliDrop, Discord or a social media platform, those services pass us the entry details you gave them. When a prize provider confirms a winner's eligibility, they tell us whether the email address you gave matches an account with them.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers, financial account details, precise location, health information or account passwords.
How we use your information
- To run and maintain the site.
- To send our newsletter, with our latest deals and news.
- To confirm we received your message, and to reply to messages and corrections you send us.
- To run giveaways, verify eligibility and deliver prizes.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To measure our advertising and show our offers to people who have visited the site.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam, fraud and abuse, including duplicate giveaway entries.
- To comply with the law, including honoring your privacy choices and keeping records we are required to keep.
- If our business is ever sold, merged or restructured, to transfer the information to the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy.
Cookies and trackers
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use CookieYes to ask for your choice. Visitors in the European Union and the UK see a banner where they can accept all, reject all, or pick categories under Preferences, and nothing beyond necessary cookies runs until they choose. Visitors in the United States see a notice and can opt out at any time through Your Privacy Choices. Everyone can reopen their choices with the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of every page.
Necessary: remembering your cookie choice, and the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check on our forms. These are always on. Vercel Speed Insights measures page speed without cookies.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our website and forms from spam, automated activity, and abuse. Turnstile may process technical information about your browser, device, and interactions with our website to verify legitimate activity. For more information, see Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Privacy Policy.
When you submit a form, our server sends your IP address to Cloudflare along with the Turnstile check. To stop abuse, the contact and signup forms also count recent submissions using a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself. Counts more than a day old are deleted automatically as the forms are used.
Analytics: Google Analytics (which pages are visited and how people find us) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and session recordings that show where visitors get stuck; Clarity hides what you type into forms).
Advertising: the Meta, X, Reddit, TikTok and Google Ads tags, which tell those platforms when someone visited or took an action such as signing up or clicking through to a firm, so we can measure our ads and show our offers to people who have been here before; and Brevo tracking, which connects site visits to our newsletter list.
Google tags use Google Consent Mode: in the EU, the UK and Switzerland they collect nothing that identifies you until you accept. The other tools do not load until your cookie settings allow their category. If you withdraw consent, the page reloads so they stop.
Do Not Track: our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no agreed standard for them. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal (see below).

Who we share information with
We share information only with the services that help us run the site, and only what each one needs:
- Website hosting and database: Vercel, Neon.
- Content management: Sanity.
- Email and newsletter: Brevo, Resend.
- Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile.
- Consent management: CookieYes.
- Community: Discord. Where our Discord box appears, your browser loads the server's name and member count directly from Discord, which receives your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity.
- Advertising and social media platforms: Meta, X, Reddit, TikTok, Google Ads.
- Giveaway platforms: ScopliDrop (Discord giveaways), Discord, and the social media platforms where entry tasks are completed. Entries you make there are also held by those platforms under their own privacy policies.
- Giveaway prize providers: the prop firm or company providing the prize, only to confirm eligibility and deliver prizes.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a court order or subpoena, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. When you click through to a prop firm, you leave our site and that firm's own privacy policy applies; any purchase happens on their systems and we never see your payment details.
Sale and sharing of personal information
We never sell personal information for money. However, the advertising and analytics tags named above receive information so we can measure our ads and show our offers to people who have visited the site. Some US state laws treat this as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, so we describe it here and let you opt out.
- What is sold or shared: identifiers (IP address, cookie IDs, device information, and, if an advertising platform's automatic matching option is switched on in our account with that platform, a hashed form of contact details you type into our forms), internet activity (pages viewed, links clicked, the referring site) and approximate location based on IP address.
- Who receives it: advertising and social media platforms (Meta, X, Reddit, TikTok, Google Ads) and analytics providers (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity).
The other information on this page, such as your messages and giveaway details, is only disclosed to the service providers listed above so they can do their job for us. It is not sold or shared. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Your Privacy Choices
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of every page or the cookie notice. We also treat the Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a valid opt-out. Your choice is saved in the browser you use, so repeat it on each browser or device.
How long we keep information
- Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
- Giveaway entries we hold: 12 months after the giveaway ends. Winners' details: as long as tax and legal records require.
- Messages from our contact and correction forms: up to 24 months.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics, and according to each provider's own settings elsewhere.
- Advertising data: according to each advertising platform's own settings.
- Cookie choices: 12 months.
When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. If information sits in a backup that cannot be deleted right away, we keep it secure and out of use until it can be.
Giveaways and financial incentives
We sometimes run giveaways for prizes such as trading accounts, trading tools or software, and some entries go into a random draw from our newsletter list. To enter, you may give us the information listed under "Giveaways" above. Under California law, a giveaway you enter by giving personal information can count as a "financial incentive". Giveaways are open to adults 18 and over only. Entering is always optional, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing contact@saveonpropfirms.com or unsubscribing from the newsletter. We value the information at the cost of running the giveaway, which is roughly the prize value divided by the expected number of entries.
Your rights
Everyone
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any email, and change your cookie choices at any time.
If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the UK
Under the GDPR you also have the right to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
The legal bases we rely on:
- Consent: analytics and advertising cookies, the newsletter and giveaway entries.
- Contract: running a giveaway you entered and delivering your prize.
- Legal obligation: records we must keep, such as tax records for prizes.
- Legitimate interests: replying to your messages, keeping the site secure and free of spam and bots, preventing giveaway fraud and duplicate entries, and measuring how the site is used so we can improve it.
Our service providers are mostly based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Where a country does not have an EU adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses in our providers' data processing terms, and on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for US providers certified under it. We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, the sources it comes from, and who we share it with; to receive the specific pieces we hold; to correct and delete it; to opt out of its sale or sharing (see Your Privacy Choices); and not to be treated differently for using any of these rights. We do not use sensitive personal information.
How to make a request
Email contact@saveonpropfirms.com with the subject "Privacy request" and tell us whether you want to access, correct or delete your information. We may ask you to confirm the email address you used with us so we can verify the request. You may also use an authorized agent if we receive proof that they act for you. We reply within 30 days, and if we need longer, as the law allows in some cases, we will tell you why. Requests are free unless they are clearly excessive or repeated.
Children
The site is meant for adults interested in prop trading and is not directed at anyone under 18, and our giveaways are open to adults only. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, email contact@saveonpropfirms.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections, access controls and reputable providers, to protect your information. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Links to other websites
The site links to prop firms and other websites we do not run. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site, so please read them before giving them your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
