Accounts & Evaluations
Funded Account
The account a trader earns by passing an evaluation. Profits made in it can be withdrawn through payouts, with the firm keeping a percentage as its split.
In plain English
A funded account is what the evaluation is for. Depending on the firm it may be a sim funded account (you trade simulated capital and the firm pays you from its own revenue) or a live account with real capital behind it. Funded accounts usually keep risk rules like drawdown and daily loss limits, and add payout rules such as minimum trading days, payout buffers, and consistency requirements.
Read the funded rules before you buy the evaluation, not after you pass. Two firms with identical evaluations can have very different funded experiences.
- After passing, a trader gets a $50,000 funded account with a 90 percent split.
- They make $2,000, request a payout, and receive $1,800.
