Payouts & Funding
Profit Split
The percentage of funded profits the trader keeps. Most futures firms pay 80 to 90 percent, with some offering 100 percent on early payouts.
In plain English
The split is applied when profits leave the account. A 90 percent split on a $1,000 payout puts $900 in your pocket. Promotions often sweeten early withdrawals, like 100 percent of the first $10,000, before reverting to the standard split.
A higher split on a firm with restrictive payout rules can still pay less in practice than a lower split with easy payouts, so read split and payout rules together.
- Firm A: 90 percent split, payouts any time after $250.
- Firm B: 100 percent split but 6 payout maximum per account.
- Depending on your horizon, A may pay more overall.
