NQ (E-mini Nasdaq-100)
The E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures contract, ticker NQ. Faster and wider-ranging than ES; $20 per point, $5 per tick, and the favorite of momentum-oriented prop traders.

NQ tracks the Nasdaq-100 at $20 per point in 0.25 point ticks worth $5. It regularly travels several times the point range of ES in a session, so the same contract count carries very different risk: a 50 point NQ move is $1,000 per contract and entirely ordinary.
Prop traders like NQ because targets can be reached fast, and fail on it for the same reason. Daily loss limits and trailing drawdowns punish its whips, which makes the micro version, MNQ, the sensible sizing tool while an account is fresh.
