Trading Rules
Copy Trading
Mirroring the same trades across multiple accounts, either your own accounts at one or several firms, or copying another trader's signals. Heavily restricted by most firms.
In plain English
Trade copiers let one strategy fire simultaneously into many funded accounts, multiplying payouts from a single edge. Firms restrict this because it multiplies their correlated risk: common rules allow copying only between your own accounts within the same firm, and ban copying between firms, copying another person's trades, or account sharing outright.
Copy trading violations are among the most common reasons for denied payouts and banned traders, so treat every firm's copy policy as load-bearing fine print.
- A trader runs the same NQ strategy on 3 funded accounts at one firm using a copier the firm explicitly allows for personal accounts.
- Doing the same across 3 different firms could violate all three firms' terms.
