Accounts & Evaluations
Reset
Paying a fee to restart a failed evaluation fresh, keeping the same account size and rules. Usually cheaper than buying a new evaluation.
In plain English
When you breach a rule during an evaluation, most firms offer a reset: pay a smaller fee and your balance, drawdown, and progress start over. Monthly subscription evaluations often include a free reset with each billing cycle.
Resets are a real part of the cost math. A cheap evaluation with expensive resets can cost more over a realistic number of attempts than a pricier one with free resets.
- A trader fails a $49 per month evaluation in week one.
- Instead of paying $49 for a new account they use the included reset at the next billing date, or pay a $25 reset to restart immediately.
