Accounts & Evaluations
Profit Target
The amount of profit you must reach to pass an evaluation. Typically 6 to 8 percent of the account size.
In plain English
The profit target is the finish line of the evaluation. Combined with the drawdown it defines the real difficulty of an account: the closer the target is to the cushion you are given, the easier the pass.
Targets are measured on closed balance at most firms. Some firms also apply the target to funded stages or to scaling milestones.
- A $25,000 evaluation with a $1,500 profit target and $1,000 drawdown has a P/D ratio of 1.5.
- Reaching $26,500 passes it.
