Payouts & Funding
Calendar Day
Every day on the calendar, weekends included, whether you trade or not. Firms that count payout days this way start a clock that runs on its own.
In plain English
A wait counted in calendar days runs whether or not you trade. Five calendar days after your account goes funded is five days later, weekends included, even if you never placed a trade.
It is the easiest of the three ways firms count payout days to plan around, because the date is fixed. The catch is that the firm usually still has other payout rules, such as a minimum balance, a buffer or a consistency rule, so the calendar only tells you the earliest day you can ask.
- An account allows a payout 5 calendar days after it is funded.
- Funded on a Friday, the trader can request a payout the next Wednesday, even though only three of those days were trading sessions.
