The 3 Core Payout Requirements

Requirement #1: Complete 8 Trading Days

A trading day is any day where you placed at least one trade. You must complete 8 separate trading days before requesting a payout from your Semi-Live or ProTrader Live account.

How it works:

  • Days 1-8: Complete your first cycle

  • Payout approved: Counter resets to zero

  • Repeat for next payout

Important notes:

  • You don't need to be profitable on all 8 days

  • Multiple trades on one day = still only 1 trading day

  • No trades placed = day doesn't count

  • Requirement applies at all account stages

Example:

  • Monday: Traded 2 times (+$300) ✅ Day 1

  • Tuesday: No trades ❌ Doesn't count

  • Wednesday: Traded once (-$100) ✅ Day 2

  • Continue until you reach 8 trading days

Requirement #2: The 30% Consistency Rule

The rule: No single trading day can represent more than 30% of your total profits during any 8-day payout cycle.

The formula:

(Largest Single Day Profit ÷ Total Profit) × 100 = Percentage

If the result exceeds 30%, you cannot request a payout until further trading brings it down to 30% or below.

29% ✅

What happened: You completed 8 trading days by Day 8, but your largest day (Day 3's $1,200) represented 34% of your total profits. You cannot request a payout yet because the consistency rule requires 30% or below.

The fix: Continue trading beyond Day 8. On Day 9, you're still at 31%. On Day 10, you reach 29% ($1,200 ÷ $4,100 = 29.3%). Now you're eligible to request a payout.

Key lesson: The 8 trading days requirement is separate from the 30% consistency rule. You may complete 8 days but still need to keep trading if your largest day exceeds 30% of total profits. Track this percentage daily to know when you can request your payout.

Pro tip: Track this daily in a spreadsheet. Calculate the percentage after each trade to avoid surprises.

Requirement #3: Maintain $600 Above Your Buffer

Your account balance must be $600 above your drawdown buffer when requesting a payout. This ensures adequate cushion after withdrawal.

The drawdown buffer is your account's maximum drawdown level plus $100. This buffer amount provides additional protection to make it more difficult to fail your account.

Critical: Your buffer never moves down when you withdraw. It stays locked, so your cushion decreases with each payout.

Example Calculation ($50K Account)

Your situation:

  • Current balance: $55,000

  • Buffer (locked): $52,350

  • Cushion: $2,650

Maximum payout: $2,650 - $600 = $2,050

After $2,050 payout:

  • New balance: $52,950

  • Buffer (unchanged): $52,350

  • Remaining cushion: $600 ✅

If you request $2,500:

  • New balance: $52,500

  • Cushion: $150 ❌ Denied (under $600)

Profit Split Progression: 90% to 100%

Nexgen ProTrader Funding's profit split improves over time, reaching 100% after your 16th payout.

First 60 Trading Days: Probation with Caps

During your first 60 trading days, payouts are capped:

Example ($50K):

  • Starting balance: $50,000

  • You profit $5,000 in 8 days

  • New balance: $55,000

  • Buffer: $52,350

  • Amount above buffer: $55,000 - $52,350 = $2,650

  • Maximum safe withdrawal: $2,650 - $600 (required cushion) = $2,050

  • Probation cap: $2,000

  • You can request $2,000 (limited by probation cap)

  • You receive: $1,800 (90% of $2,000)

  • Nexgen keeps: $200 (10%)

Important probation rule: For each payout during probation, your account profit must be at least equal to your payout request since your last payout. You cannot make $25,000 on Day 1, then earn $50/day for 8 days, and request a $3,000 payout when your current cycle profits only equal $400.

After 60 Days: Unlimited Payouts at 90/10

After 60 trading days, caps are removed. You can withdraw 90% of profits above the account buffer + $100 (maintaining the $600 minimum balance requirement).

Example ($50K account after probation):

  • Current balance: $56,000 (you've already been trading and built up profits)

  • Buffer: $52,350

  • Amount above buffer: $56,000 - $52,350 = $3,650

  • You want to withdraw as much as possible

  • Maximum safe withdrawal: $3,650 - $600 (required cushion) = $3,050

  • You request $3,050 payout

  • You receive: $2,745 (90% of $3,050)

  • Nexgen keeps: $305 (10% of $3,050)

  • After payout balance: $52,950 (maintains $600 cushion)

After 16th Payout: 100% Profit Split

After your 16th payout, Nexgen may transition you to a ProTrader Live Account where you trade real capital under power of attorney and keep 100% of all profits.

This means:

  • $10,000 profit = $10,000 payout to you

  • No split, no fees—every dollar is yours

Why this matters: Almost no other futures prop firm offers 100% profit splits. Most cap at 80-90% forever.

How to Request a Payout

Once you meet all three requirements, request through your dashboard:

  1. Log into Nexgen ProTrader Funding website

  2. Navigate to "Payouts" section

  3. Enter payout amount ($500 minimum)

  4. Select payment method

  5. Submit request

First payout requirements:

  • Valid ID

  • Proof of address

  • W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (non-US)

Payment methods:

  • ACH (1-3 business days)

  • Wire transfer (faster, may have fees - international traders pay wire fees)

  • PayPal (quick processing)

Common Payout Mistakes

Mistake #1: Not Tracking 30% Rule Daily

Don't wait until Day 8 to check. Use a spreadsheet to calculate after each day.

Mistake #2: Requesting Too Much (Buffer Violation)

Always calculate: (Balance - Buffer) - $600 = Max Safe Payout

Mistake #3: Forgetting Counter Resets

After each payout approval, you start over at 0/8 days.

Mistake #4: Confusing Probation Caps with Permanent Limits

After Day 60, caps are removed—you can withdraw more.

Mistake #5: Not Accounting for 10% Split

During 90/10 phase, you receive 90% of requested amount, not 100%.

The minimum payout from Nexgen ProTrader Funding is $500 for all account sizes.

What is the Nexgen ProTrader Funding 30% consistency rule?
The Nexgen ProTrader Funding 30% consistency rule states that no single trading day can represent more than 30% of your total profits in an 8-day payout cycle. If one day exceeds 30%, you must continue trading until additional profits reduce that day's percentage to 30% or below.
